Little Red Church

A Little Red Church – somewhere in one of the Baltic States

When I saw this peaceful scene of a place of worship in the countryside, it immediately caught my attention. A little different from the stone churches we often see here in the U.K. The red wooden walls, greenish tower with the onion shaped dome of this orthodox church in the snow-laden uphill landscape made it a must to paint! I felt it displayed a sense of the peace and tranquility we all appreciate enjoying from time to time.
