Watendlath, a quaint hamlet hidden away in the Lake District.

What a great place to live! A simple, basic farming lifestyle, miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life, nestling in beautiful countryside. Well, I'm sure this is the opinion of many of the tourists who visit - including me. Seen early in the season, the dead bracken is still visible on the lower part of the fens in the background.
Due to the wide angle view used in the painting, the website photograph does not show the detailing as well as I would have liked.

My inspiration was taken from a painting by Geoff Kelsey
