Walberswick, across the estuary from Southwold, Suffolk.

A very short ferry ride across from Southwold, Walberswick has a lot to offer. I only live about an hour and a half drive away so I was pleasantly surprised to find the unspoilt beaches and quaint seaside village. Outside the tourist season, this quiet strip of coastline has a charm of its own.

This painting is a little more on the panoramic side. The water and beached boats opposite a winding gravel walkway passing a row of weathered huts.

My inspiration was taken from a painting by Geoff Kelsey
