Alresford Creek Boating Quay

Alresford Creek, Essex

This area is not far from my home; while walking one day I was fascinated by the contrast of the old weathered quay covered in algae with the small rowing boat moored to it looking almost new. Of course, this is only a very small snapshot of this attractive creek which stretches for miles. It is isolated enough to be full of wildlife with many species of sea birds wading on the mud at low tide. Worth a visit if you are looking for an interesting countryside walk.
