A Wet Day in Berlin
This painting ia all about the reflections of the man with an umbrella and the trees on the wet pavement. When I stand by a stretch of still water, I will immediately appreciate the sky and bank reflecting into it, but in the normal bustle of modern life, I must admit, I am often guilty of looking but not seeing! The background has been simplified to avoid looking too "busy" and thus detracting from the main theme.
